The Essential Duster Cardigan

Growing up my mom always loved cardigans and I guess that love has passed down to me.  I always get excited when I find a new piece I can throw over my shoulders on a chilly day.  Recently I found this versatile camel colored duster cardigan at MudPie and I have been wearing it non-stop.

Not only is this cardigan the perfect piece to have for cold mornings and chilly evenings during the summer, but it is also on major sale.  Normally priced at $62, it is currently on sale for under $22!  Um, Yes Please!

This duster is the perfect length, hitting right at the knees and looks great with shorts, jeans or a little sundress.  I also love this classic Coca-Cola shirt.  It is older and no longer available for sale, however I have linked some great alternative options below.  I don’t drink a great deal of pop/soda/Coke, but we always had it as a special treat on the weekends and most importantly it reminds me of my dad, he loves it. Everyone needs a classic Coke shirt!

Morning cuddles and the Best Pajamas

Mornings are one of my favorite parts of the day.  I have always been a morning person and after having little ones I love them even more.  This is my quiet time to love on and cuddle my three babies.  I know I have shared my girls with y’all multiple times, but now it’s time to feature my little man.  Michael Prentiss (named after his Daddy) is the sweetest baby ever.  Some days before the girls get up I take the opportunity for special time with my baby boy.

I also have a love for cute pajamas!  This lemon pj set is perfect for summer and extremely comfortable.  I have been looking for a pair of lemon pajamas that are under $20 and I finally found them!

I tend to wear my pajamas multiple nights in a row and I find myself pushing the wash day further back on these, because I don’t want to go a night without them.  Not only are they the perfect summer pjs, but they are also too darn cute!

Athleisure! The Love for Yoga Pants is Real

 Growing up I played basketball and volleyball, and always loved having a cute athletic outfit I could wear to the games and at school.  Then I went off to college and enjoyed putting together what I thought was trendy athleisure outfits to wear to class.  Fast forward a few years and the athleisure game is now on point.  And I must say I am ecstatic about this long living trend.  As a stay at home, I live in athleisure wear and the more chic I can make it, the better!

I do love a good pair of Lululemon, but they aren’t always welcome in my budget.  I was recently shopping at Target and found this new brand, JoyLab, of athletic pants I am loving.  They have adorable designs, are extremely comfortable and are much more budget friendly.

I bought these leggings almost a month ago and have been wearing them non-stop.  They are thick enough to cover everything needed and have a higher waist to help suck everything in, which I definitely need!

I also love the bright pop of color these pants add to my wardrobe and the neat design at the bottom of the legs.  These are unlike most of my yoga pants and that’s one of the many reasons I can’t get enough of these.

I had to add in a little yoga pose here, which I definitely need to work on! hahahahah!  These are perfect for almost any day.  I have worn them to the gym, grocery store and picking up the little ones from school.

I couldn’t forget my Ray-Ban Aviators Y’all!  These black frames go perfect with this athleisure outfit.  And YES, I have a piece of food in my tooth.  I’m not sure what I ate before this, but I’m leaving it in the photo, because I don’t know how to edit it out and this is my real life.  I’m a mom trying to juggle multiple things at once.  Good Times!

The Classic Root Beer Float

Those of you who know me, know that I come from a large family.  And those of you who are new to my blog I am the oldest of six children.  My parents are the typical Catholics who cranked out a load of kids.  Hahahah.  Growing up with four brothers and a sister was an absolute blast and over the years we have added multiple family traditions.

One of our family traditions was welcoming the weekend with a family movie night and a root beer float Friday evening.  When I saw this Barq’s Shirt I had to have it and knew it was time to introduce my sweet little girls to the amazingness of a root beer float!

I know the Root Beer Float is nothing new, but it was so much fun recreating a family tradition with my girls!  They had an absolute blast and needless to say they loved the root beer floats.

Growing up my Grandpa always had Breyer’s Ice Cream in his freezer.  So without question we had to use the good old traditional, Natural Vanilla, Breyer’s.  And what’s a float without the cherry on top?

Floral Easter Dress for You and Your Mini

Easter was such a big deal in our home growing up.  I’m sure those of you who have been following me  for awhile know that going to church is a big part of my life and it stems from my childhood.  My Mother is as Catholic as they come and every Christian Holiday was always a celebration.  I will never forget when I was four years old my Mom bought me this white dress with a blue sash and a big, ornate hat.  I thought I was the cat’s meow.  To this day I always love getting dressed up for Easter Sunday.

When I saw this Mud-Pie dress I knew I had to have it.  My mother-in-law, whom I adore, had already bought dresses for my four year old and two year old daughters which looked very similar.

Not only do I love the bright colorful pattern, but the ruffle and gold buttons add the perfect amount of detail making the dress pop even more.  I also added a gold belt to give the dress a little more shape.

Add a bright pink statement earring and pair of neutral wedges and you are dressed for Sunday Easter best!

I also love dressing similar to my girls as often as possible.  However, it can be hard to find outfits that match a thirty year old and set of toddler girls.  Wait until you see how adorable my sweet princesses look in these dresses!

Need I say anymore?!?  I am a little obsessed with these two.  Y’all know what we will be wearing Sunday morning and the girls are already counting down the days until the Easter bunny visits us.

BeautyCounter Ultimate Nudes Eyeshadow Palette Review

For over a year now I have slowly been switching my make up and skincare out for non-toxic products that are safer for your skin.  Many of us focus on healthy food we put into our bodies, however we forget to take a deeper look at the ingredients in products we put on our skin.

Eyeshadow is one of my favorite makeup products and I was having the hardest time finding a safe, non-toxic palette, until the BeautyCounter Ultimate Nudes Eyeshadow Palette came into my life.

I have been wearing BeautyCounter for a year now and I am loving it.  I have quite a few products I love including this eyeshadow palette.  When they launched this product I was extremely excited to try it and when I finally got my hands on it, I was not disappointed.  The pigment and color payoff of these shadows are amazing.

I usually go for a more natural makeup look, but with these shadows you can create almost any look, including a smoky eye, a warm golden eye or a cool toned blue eye.  My go to look includes using cherry blossom all over the lid.  Followed by mixing soft peach and canyon for the transition shade in the crease.  On the outer corner of the eye I mix mink and spice then blend in with an angled brush.  For my eyeliner I use Rimmel London Earl Grey and then smudge it out with a mixture of espresso and mink.  And for the final step I add cherry blossom to the inner corner of the eye for a pop.
